PREPARATION

In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, lightly brown the garlic with the bay leaf and pepper in the oil. Add the tomatoes and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes or until they begin to burst. Using a potato pestle, crush the tomatoes roughly. Salt and pepper. Keep warm.
